Dark Souls 2’s last chapter of DLC, Crown of the Ivory King, is out this month, and From Software has released a new set of screens showing the wintery landscapes players will be exploring.
This is the first time we’ve really seen a snowy environment in a Souls game (apart from a tiny bit in the Painted World of Ariamis). It’s a nice visual change for the franchise.
As you’d expect there’s all manner of nasty, frozen critters to fight in this one. Bonus points for the shot of an ice giant kicking a player character up the arse (top left).
Crown of the Ivory King is out this September 23 for PC and consoles.
