EA has announced that PC gamers will be able to try out Respawn’s mech-happy shooter Titanfall for free this weekend.
The move is part of a new initiative called ‘Origin Game Time’, which allows players to experience the full version of a game for free for two days.
”For Titanfall you’re getting 48 full hours of Pilot/Titan action,” writes EA’s Craig Harris in an announcement post on the Origin site. ”It’s the entire game. The Origin Game Time clock begins the moment you start the game for the first time, and ticks down in realtime. Whether you’re fighting your friends or taking a break, the Game Time clock will continue to run.”
”Love the game after playing during Origin Game Time and want to continue? Your Titanfall progress is saved and you can pick up right where you left off if you purchase Titanfall.”
Titanfall won’t be the only title to be available via Game Time; EA say they are already looking at adding other games to the service.
For now though, keep an eye on the free games page on Origin. Titanfall should be added there soon, although exact times will differ depending on your region.
