Blizzard is increasing the allure of the Starter Edition for StarCraft 2 by making all Arcade content and custom games freely available to those just trying out the sci-fi RTS, which means more mods for everyone.
For those who own the full game, Patch 2.1 tweaks a number of game systems like letting us create mutators for any map, events and custom clan decals and more.
You can even pump in the original Brood War soundtrack for your more up-to-date Zerg rushes. Blizzard has posted two new videos to highlight Patch 2.1’s changes.
Additions include the Free Arcade, events for clans and groups, extension mods for mutators, alter league boundaries, increased level cap with rewards, and a re-mastered soundtrack for the original StarCraft games.
Patch notes are available on Battle.net as the latest update rolls out this week.
