Developer Moon Studios’ promising platformer Ori and the Blind Forest has been delayed until 2015, the studio revealed yesterday.
It was due out this Winter, but in a blog post on the official website the developers explained that they “need just a little more time in order to add a final layer of polish to – what we hope – will be an unforgettable gaming experience.”
Ori was revealed at Gamescom earlier this month. The game mixes a few genres together, with the developers not-very-succinctly summing it up as “Metroidvania, but with a stronger platforming focus and light RPG elements.”
You play a forest spirit who embarks on an adventure across his woodland home. As you can see from the trailer, it’s quite the pretty title, with an air of Child of Light about it.
Look for Ori and the Blind Forest on PC early next year.
