StarCraft II has done what it came to do and Blizzard has drawn the curtain on the main series for now, but they aren’t done quite yet. At Blizzcon, the video game giant offered a glimpse at the DLC that would be offered in 2016 featuring single-player missions centered around the Terran Ghost, Nova. Blizzard opened up pre-orders for the DLC today, offering serious savings if players purchase the collection early.
Announced on Battle.net, players can pre-order all three DLC packs in one bundle for $14.99. The packs bought individually would cost $7.49 a piece, so it’s sort of a buy-two-get-one-free affair. There are three packs and each pack will feature three missions for a total of nine new missions altogether.
As mentioned before, these missions are centered around the Terran Ghost, Nova Terra. Presumably from the teaser that was shown during the DLC’s announcement, these packs will set Nova on a brand new mission to unravel a conspiracy while exploring the dark depths of her shady past. These missions will be single-player only. Future multiplayer additions are planned, but single-player is the focus at the moment. It’s hard to say more than that, but given how immensely good Legacy of the Void was, it’s safe to assume we can look forward to a good show in the Nova DLC.
The first of Nova’s Covert Ops Mission packs is expected to release on or before 19th June, 2016.
