Ghost Games will bring its upcoming Need for Speed reboot to Gamescom 2015 this week, giving attendees the chance to play the game for the first time on the show floor.
After a year off in 2014 for ”a breather and a fresh look”, the venerable racing series returns this November, though EA aren’t yet sure if it will return to its previous annual release schedule.
”You can only bring it out annually if you can come up with real fresh ideas,” EA COO Peter Moore explained to MCV recently. “It is the same thing we’ve been going through with golf. It is golf… is there enough innovation and creativity that you can go in there with and do something different every year?”
As for those of us who won’t be attending Gamescom, a new chunk of gameplay footage will air during EA’s live press conference. You can catch that at 8:30 BST/9:30 CEST on Wednesday, August 5.
