Leaving behind the Union and Confederate tiffs, studio NorbSoft is now looking to Europe and the Battle of Waterloo. It will feature the ”chain of command mechanics” fans of the series are used too.
We not only play at the top of the command chain, but also fill in the boots of subordinate officers. Scourge of War: Waterloo promises to simulate how difficult it was for armies to manoeuvre on the battlefield.
”In this year of the Battle of Waterloo bicentenary anniversary, developer NorbSoft is undertaking the massive task of giving wargamers their first chance to play the whole final showdown of the War of the Seventh Coalition in Scourge of War: Waterloo!”
Over 20 scenarios will recreate the great battle with Napolean’s forces. There’s also an ”unlimited user generated sandbox scenario system” and multiplayer maps. The studio has conducted in-depth research to deliver historical names, weapons, leaders and formations.
Scourge of War: Waterloo releases on PC June 11th. Tomorrow a live stream through Slitherine Groups’ Twitch channel will be aired from the development team @ 8.00pm GMT+1.
