Last year sucked up a collective $89.1 million from gamer wallets as Kickstarter pledges successfully supported 1,980 game projects on the crowd-funding bazaar of curious oddities.
The games crown sights atop the rightful heir of medieval RPG, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which was backed by 35,384 peasants who threw over £1.1 million at creator Warhorse Studios.
The games category on Kickstarter includes video games, boardgames and cards. In total around 3.3 million people across the globe backed a project last year across 22,252 of them, spending a combined $529 million - which is ”more than $1,000 a minute.”
