Hearthstone players in Europe has a bit of a rough time connecting to the collectible card game’s servers last week, so Blizzard is offering free cards in an attempt to make up for the inconvenience.
European accounts created before May 3 will receive two free Classic card packs, which will be delivered to the ‘Open Packs’ section of the game’s menu within 24 hours.
”We know access to Hearthstone in Europe was spotty last week,” writes Blizzard. ”Sorry about that, and we really appreciate your patience as we worked to get the tavern back into shape. As a thank-you for bearing with us, ALL Hearthstone accounts in the European Hearthstone region created prior to May 3, 2015 will enjoy two free Classic Hearthstone card packs, free of charge.”
Classic packs contain your vanilla Hearthstone cards, with none of the new options from expansions Goblins vs Gnomes, Naxxramas, or Blackrock Mountain. Still, there’s a whopping 302 cards in the set, so hopefully there will be something useful in there.
To get the free packs, you simply need to log in to your account. Once delivered, they’ll stay in your library until you open them - they won’t expire, so don’t worry if you forget to open them straight away. A nice touch on Blizzard’s part, I’m sure you’ll agree.
