The latest update to Blizzard’s Diablo III is now live in Europe, although some may need to wait a little longer as Patch 2.1.2 rolls out. What does this bring us? Ancient items for one - move over Legendary.
When playing in Torment I or higher, there’s now a chance to reap an Ancient item, which are ”more powerful” than those silly Legendary trinkets. There’s a large list of changes to fuss over.
There’s a big heap of changes in Patch 2.1.2 which is why it’s best to read the full changelog on Battle.net. We’ve picked out some highlights though, like the New Tristram town hub getting an improved layout for Adventure Mode, but not the campaign acts.
A number of bounties have been altered and some re-enabled since Patch 2.1.0. We can no longer resurrect at checkpoints in Nephalem Rifts, but can respawn at our corpse with every death increasing the delay. Gold and experience from Greater Rift completions have been increased, with monster density given a boost in some.
The ‘Healing’ stat on character sheets is no more! Instead it’ll be referred to as ‘Recovery’ which is an estimate of how much Toughness you can recover in combat, and uses Healing, Life, and Toughness to calculate. The Healing number itself will still be visible but listed under the Recovery stat.
Classes have been given tune-ups as well. Check out the Patch 2.1.2 changelog.
