Guild Wars 2’s first expansion Heart of Thorns will allow players to set up their own majestic guild halls, which function as a hub for your merry band of players from which you can launch missions, challenge other guilds, or just have a bit of a laugh.
Developer ArenaNet demonstrated the new feature in a trailer at the E3 PC Gaming Show yesterday. GW2’s signature soaring architectural style makes for some very good-looking guild hangouts.
”Guild halls allow your guild to claim a piece of Tyria; taking up residence in the jungle to build and decorate a new home. From there, guilds will be able to hang out, launch missions and form teams with which to challenge other guilds,” the developer explains. Once you’ve built a hall your guild will be able to challenge for first place on the new guild leaderboards, and there’s a War Room where you can all gather to plan your World Vs World strategy.
Heart of Thorns is now up for pre-order now on the official website. There are three tiers on offer, the cheapest of which is the Standard edition at £35.99.
