After being announced nearly two years ago at E3 2013, EA and Battlefield developer DICE have at last nailed down a date for when their Frostbite 3 powered Star Wars: Battlefront title will be revealed to the public.
It’s a lot sooner than you think, too.
EA have today confirmed that Star Wars: Battlefront will be shown for the very first time at next month’s Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California.
The event will run from April 16th to April 19th.
“You’ve been patient young Padawans, and soon your patience will be rewarded,” an official blog post reads. “We could not think of a better or more appropriate place to debut the game officially for the first time than the premier event that celebrates the Star Wars universe and the legions of fans who have fallen in love with it.”
Provisionally speaking, Star Wars: Battlefront is set to release before the end of the year.
Next month simply can’t come soon enough really.
