Upcoming episodic adventure Life is Strange from Dontnod Entertainment has just published its second developer diary with the team focusing on the rewinding time mechanic we’ll be abusing a lot.
The unwritten rule on time travel, which is ludicrous when you think about it, is that you don’t mess with past events because of the ‘Butterfly Effect’. What huge butterfly wings will we be flapping?
Max discovers she can rewind time and that means there are rules for us as players to learn about her powers. Dontnod has already teased these rewindable moments in Life is Strange will have consequences that can be felt in short, mid or long term. Now what teenage girl in high school honestly wishes they had the power to rewind time? None I’m sure.
Life is Strange releases on PC and console across six episodes with the first due January 30th.
