Tonight at 8pm GMT, the bold pairing of our very own Nick Horth and Chris Capel will be live-streaming some lovely gameplay from Pillars of Eternity, Obsidian Entertainment’s contemporary ode to the Black Isle RPG’s of yesteryear.
Well, that’s your evening sorted then.
Beginning life on Kickstarter, Pillars of Eternity absolutely smashed its funding goal of $1,100,000 by bringing in nearly quadruple that amount ($3,986,929) by the time the funding period had ended.
An isometric RPG very much in the mold of the older Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale titles, Pillars of Eternity brings the whole concept up to date with high-definition visual assets and a completely brand new setting.
With a focus on party generation, dialogue, divergent storytelling, tactical combat and hundreds of hours of gameplay, Pillars of Eternity looks like the sort of game that is going to thoroughly undermine your social life in the best way.
Pillars of Eternity is set to release this Thursday, March 26th for Windows PC, Mac and Linux and can be pre-purchased here.
And that brings us full-circle to our Live Stream where you can fill your boots with some cracking gameplay (and commentary) from Pillars of Eternity days ahead of its release.
The Live Stream can be caught at the link below, while the official GameWatcher Twitch channel can be glimpsed here
You lot are in for a right treat.
