It never ceases to amaze me how disabled video game fans manage to play their favourite games. Massimiliano Sechi, for example, has no hands; that hasn’t stopped him from reaching Diamond level in League of Legends.
Puts my own hopelessness at Riot’s game into sharp perspective. Sechi, or ‘MacsHG’ as he’s known in the community, is the subject of the first installment in a new documentary series from Razer that looks at various gamers across all cultures and backgrounds.
Sechi plays LoL with his feet, using a specially designed keyboard setup. ”We started working with Macs when we discovered he used Razer gear to overcome his handicap and become a champion,” says Razer. ”His story isn’t just about perseverance and inspiration - it’s about something bigger.”
Thus, the documentary’s not just about his gaming exploits, but also about his relationships with his family and local community. He’s a frequent visitor to his local gym, for example. Yeah, this guy manages to make me feel lazy and inadequate in about a hundred different ways.
The video is part of an ongoing series called ’Character Select’, which you’ll be able to follow on Razer’s Youtube channel.
