The chaps over at Eurogamer Portugal have posted a fifteen-minute gameplay video showing CD Projekt Red’s upcoming fantasy RPG The Witcher 3 in action.
The video covers combat, travel, conversations and a cutscene or two. It’s 1080p, too, which lets you get a good look at those crisp graphics. The game sure does a good line in ugly medieval peasants.
The combat looks very similar to The Witcher 2’s brand of tricky, fast-paced strategic action, with what looks like roughly the same roster of magical spells. It looks nice and all, but it’s the way Geralt transitions from kicking arse in a cave to wandering around a breathtaking mountain vista that really impresses.
This is all taken from the PC version, and though I’d venture that it doesn’t look quite as sharp as some of the in-game footage we’ve previously been shown, it’s still a lovely looking game.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set for a May 19 release on PC. Worried whether or not your PC has what it takes to run it? Check out the recommended specs here.
