Logging into just about any recent or ongoing online game over the holiday period typically nets you a couple of extra gifts these days. And even the cold, hard truth of war can't squash that tradition. Here are your Battlefield 1 festive event details.
Already available those who may have noticed is the Blind Delivery gamemode. This is a simple variartion of the popular War Pigeons playlist that sends you out on a mission to secure the map's messenger bird, write an artiliery strike request and get the mail back into the sky. Only this time you'll be stripped of your minimap and limited to just grenades and handguns. Good luck shooting a bird out of the sky with those tools.
Starting today, you'll be able to get your hands of a Holiday Truce dog tag which, for anyone regularly following our news coverage, might notice isn't quite as thoughtful as the event added into Verdun a few days ago to commemorate one of the finer examples of human compassion during the brutal war effort.
Not yet in on the World War I action? Make sure your PC can handle Battlefield 1 before you dive into the trenches.
Pushing on ahead, tomorrow will see the EA's gift-giving season reach its conclusion. By logging in anywhere between December 23-29, you'll score yourself a free battlepack to crack open on Christmas day - or right there and then, if you wish. Those with a Premium Pass, however, will earn themselves two Superior Battlepacks. Because Santa loves those who buy a season pass.
While both the Blind Delivery and dog tag events are available from now to December 29, remember to log in sometime after today to score your free battlepack(s).
