Twin Peaks, the X-Files, and the 90s revival of the Outer Limits are among the inspirations listed for the upcoming Virginia, which is described as an enigmatic first-person thriller. Blending detective noir with a small town American setting, it’s a cinematic story set to release on September 22.
The year is 1992. Lucas Fairfax, a young boy from the little town of Kingdom, Virginia, has disappeared and nobody seems to know why. A new FBI agent on your first mission, you’ll have to navigate the town’s mysteries while you investigate the disappearance. Kingdom’s citizens don’t take kindly to a stranger’s scrutiny, though.
