Klei Entertainment is known for putting together solid titles with gorgeous 2D artwork, like Shank, Mark of the Ninja, Don’t Starve, and Invisible, Inc. Now they’re finally making a title in a full, three-dimensional environment with their upcoming floor avoidance simulator, Hot Lava.
It’s a parkour-influenced take on the childhood game of staying off of the floor, and the concept is pretty much fully explained in the gameplay footage below. You’ll hop across pieces of furniture, swing around on bits of pipe and scaffolding, and do everything in your power to avoid touching the fiery nightmare that is the floor.
There are already tons of great independent games out there. We just happen to have a list of the best indie games on PC!

No word on when Hot Lava will release, but we’ll keep you posted.
