Not finished playing through Resident Evil 7 just yet? Unless you're looking to have the story ruined for you, it's best you turn around now. And maybe don't look at Capcom's Twitter page, either.
For those of you who have spent the last month playing through Capcom's mighty impressive return to form and sat through the credits should know that even with the Banned Footage DLC being out in the open now, there's still at least one more bit of content yet to surface.
And that piece would be the 'Not A Hero' side-mission teased after the end credits. With the last few moments of Resident Evil 7 seeing Umbrella choppers swoop into the Baker family property with a mysterious man tossing Ethan the interestingly named Albert-01R hand-cannon to finish of the game's final enemy, we meet the gaze of Chris Redfield as he takes out hand and leads us away from the latest biological nightmare to plague the Resident Evil world.
Ending on what you'd assume to be a high, the end-credits teaser only reinforces why the more eagle-eyed veterans are skeptical of the ending. While it isn't unusual to have Chris or another historical protagonist come to the rescue, it was alarming to see the muscular man turn up rocking Umbrella Corporation logos - the pharmaceutical corporation behind the vast majority of the series' diabolical plot-points.
Being the center-piece of the 'Not A Hero' DLC when Chris Redfield most certainly is one of the franchise's most prolific heroes just raises more questions. Add that to the fan-theory that he's looking a tad too young in Resident Evil 7 and you have the conspiracy of this guy not being Chris at all.
There's still no solid release date in mind just yet, but Capcom posted a few new images to get the blood flowing. We want answers, Capcom! For those interested in the last two DLC add-ons for Resident Evil 7, come back in around 2 hours to read our impressions and verdict piece.
