A tipster contacted Variety and informed them that at E3 Microsoft will announce a hot new singing game. This looks to confirm leaked info from Intellisponse.
Documents that were ‘liberated’ from the marketing research firm suggested that Microsoft would be launching a franchise called Lips, with interesting ambitions.
Variety say they were informed by ”somebody involved in promoting it” at Microsoft, but no other details have slipped.
If it is Lips then you can probably look forward to remote microphones, an avalanche of songs with the possibility of hooking up your iPod or Zune and importing even more tracks. Kotaku are betting their chips that Lips is on its way and to the delight of many a certain Elite Beat developer is rumoured to be onboard - iNis.
Microsoft’s E3 conference begins Monday the 14th.
