Reto-Moto is its name; the founders are in fact the founders of IO Interactive who are best known for their legendary Hitman series as well as Freedom Fighters.
They say they’re excited to start their new venture and will be targeting the online gaming markets, this new studio will be based out of Denmark.
”We’ve seen the interactive online market develop significantly in the last five years,” says chief technology officer of Reto-Moto, David Guldbrandsen.
Recently IO Interactive released Kane & Lynch which received a less than warm welcome among the majority of the press, much to publisher Eidos’ dismay.
”Fresh from the global success of Hitman we think our new company Reto-Moto is well placed to capture commercial and creative advantage.”
Never-the-less the new team at the “re-formed” Reto-Moto is upbeat and hopefully they’ll work some magic of their own into the online gaming space. Personally I would have loved nothing more than to have seen a Freedom Fighters 2 announcement but alas, World in Conflict will have to quench my thirst for alternate history with the no-good commie rooskies.
