The thumbnail download speeds for the new PlayStation Store are apparently underperforming because of the vast amount of users checking it out.
Typical, you want to go check out the new fancy mall and you’re mobbed by the crowds. Sony say this’ll ”be resolved within the next few days.”
”We are aware that many of you have experienced delays whilst the PS Store’s thumbnail icons are being downloaded,” posted community lead Lestrade.
”This is a temporary consequence of a new system implementation and high global traffic levels, and will be resolved within the next few days.”
The new redesign went live yesterday; the Store no longer runs within the consoles web browser and is now integrated into the system. In order to peruse the new Store styling’s PS3 users must get a hold of the new 2.30 firmware update.
