Relax, you don’t need to be a total head case in order to survive director Hideki Kamiya’s Bayonetta, it’ll come with ”easy” and ”very easy” settings.
Kamiya-san revealed earlier that he wanted the game ”sadistically hard,” but that was just for gamers like himself who enjoy button-combo sadism. Awesome attacks can be easy.
”Shortly after demonstrating some of the game’s absurd action, Kamiya told us (via translator) that the over-the-top insanity and brutal difficulty stemmed from personal taste – this is the kind of game he likes to play!” reports Joystiq.
Fortunately he recognises that not everyone enjoys barely scrapping through hell itself to complete a level, so he’s added in easier difficulty settings for those who can’t quite manage mega button combinations in the heat of combat.
