Konami required you have a Konami ID, and then a separate one for the game itself, and that’s before dealing with Xbox Live or PlayStation Network’s own ID system. Well, not anymore.
”…frankly speaking, the idea wasn’t a very good one,” said Hideo Kojima, on the Konami ID and Game ID policy. This year’s Pro Evolution Soccer will be Konami/Game ID free, it’ll just use Microsoft and Sony servers, meaning you can just boot up the game online.
Hopefully this will be rolled out to Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 and Metal Gear Online… crosses fingers, toes and eyes for luck
