Speaking on the Kojima podcast, Sean Eyestone has given hope to PS3 gamers and Metal Gear Solid 4 fans who desperately want some Trophy goodness from Snake.
Kojima are ”not ignoring” the communities cries, they ”hear everything” but right now they ”can’t say anything” about it. They ask that everyone ”just be patient, we will give you an answer.”
Hopefully it won’t be a ‘no’ after that little statement. ”Just to address one issue that we’ve been getting a lot of comments about. And this is, of course, about trophies,” Eyestone said.
”I just wanna tell everybody out there right now that your voices are being heard and that we’re not ignoring you. We hear everything that you are saying. It’s just that we can’t say anything just yet.”
”But as soon as we have something to say, we will announce it. So, if we can just ask everyone to just be patient, we will give you an answer,” he continued.
”But right now we can’t say anything. So we just ask for everyone’s understanding with that and just ask for everybody to remain patient and we’ll let you know.” Click here for the podcast.
Metal Gear Solid 4 released on the PlayStation 3 exclusively on June 12th, 2008 which was before Sony slapped in a mandatory Trophy requirement for games. As of 2009 all future releases on the platform would need them, and most developers have patched them in.
