Yoichi Wada of Square Enix, the president no less, has said they’ll be spilling the release date beans ”in a few weeks” time, most likely at the Tokyo Game Show.
Final Fantasy XIII will be at TGS in some shape. It releases on PS3 in Japan this holiday, with the rest of the world (the US at least) getting it on PS3 and Xbox 360 during spring.
”We’ll be making an announcement in a few weeks,” said Wada-san. Whether the game will be playable at TGS or just making another debut appearance remains unknown. Final Fantasy XIII’s development ”has been going favorably,” added the Square big chief.
The Tokyo Game Show runs between September 24th and the 27th, with it being open to the great unwashed public masses on the last two days. Kids get in free, adults do not.
