Stardock’s Brad Wardell has announced the digital copies of Demigod are available after GameStop decided to start selling early.
They had just finished a ”solid 8 weeks of massive crunch” on the game, that break was cut short. Piracy ”will, in theory, be maximized” no thanks to GameStop’s actions says Wardell.
”Many of us had just finished a good solid 8 weeks of massive crunch and were looking forward to the weekend to recover. Instead, we found ourselves back at work having to turn on and configure the multiplayer matchmaking servers…” vented Stardock CEO Brad Wardell.
Because of such an early released of the game at retail ”piracy on this title will, in theory, be maximized,” warned the boss.
You can buy Demigod from Stardock’s own digital distribution service, Impulse, for $39.95 (£26.89 GBP). The game is made by Supreme Commander developer Gas Powered Games.
