Developer Rockstar has updated the official site to The Ballad of Gay Tony, due out this month’s end, and detailed what multiplayer mayhem we can expect to find ourselves in.
It takes existing modes like Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, and ”gives them a high-powered bump” with new weapons, vehicles and even parachutes; new focused locales too.
Rockstar Games have highlighted the following on the updated website. They’ll be going live with a multiplayer mode trailer for The Ballad of Gay Tony soon.
New Weapons
Pistol .44, Explosive Shotgun, Assault SMG, Gold SMG, Advanced MG, Advanced Sniper, Sticky Bombs and Parachute.
Cash for Kills
Make $25 for every assisted kill.
Deathmatch Locations
Deathmatch locations are contained areas, making for an even more intense experience. New locations include: CC Plaza, Meadow Hills, Firefly Island, Alderney Building Site, Varsity Heights, Factory, Construction, Acter Power Station, Pier 45, Castle Gardens Park, Boat House, Easton Subway, Warehouse, Hospital, Waste, Trespass, Museum and more.
Weapon Classes
Episodic, Automatic, Sniper Rifles, Explosives, Sticky Bombs.
Also making a return is the excellent ‘Free Mode’ where you and buddies can just screw around in Liberty City with no rules to abide, which means it’s the ultimate playground filled with guns, cars, helicopters, boats, pedestrians, police and now parachutes for reckless skydivers.
