Rockstar Games and Team Bondi announced L.A. Noire ages back and since then nothing, except a teaser trailer, has been released from the collective talent.
Billed as ”an interactive detective story” set in the post-war 1940’s, developer Team Bondi are looking for programmers, artists, animators and even designers. Could it arrive this autumn?
”L.A. Noire blends action, detection and complex storytelling and draws players into an open-ended challenge to solve a series of gruesome murders,” reads Team Bondi’s website.
”Set in a perfectly recreated Los Angeles before freeways, with a post-war backdrop of corruption, drugs and jazz, L.A. Noire will truly blend cinema and gaming.”
While the Game Developers Association of Australia’s Tom Crago said he expects the game to arrive within a year, which he said last September, it’s doubtful the game would release in ‘09. Hopefully Rockstar are willing to shed a little more light on this promising project at E3 in June.
