Criterion develops the acclaimed and adrenaline fuelled Burnout franchise, with Bright Light focusing on casual and family focused titles. EA Black Box and Tiburon were recently hit.
”Representatives from both studios have told us that they will not be affected by the latest lay offs,” reports Develop.
For Criterion this is likely linked with the strength of the Burnout brand, with an upcoming PC release soon, compared with waning popularity of the Need for Speed franchise handled by Black Box.
While this is great news for the EA UK teams, it just means someone elsewhere in the Electronic Arts empire is going to get it.
