If you’re so inclined then completing a chapter in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves could automatically twitter your accomplishment for you - but not anymore, or at least for a while.
The ”frequency of updates” basically got on everyone’s nerves, with some twitter accounts being update many times within an hour. The chapter twitter support has been disabled.
”So we’ve seen some concern about the frequency of updates for those choosing to use UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves‘ Twitter support,” posted Naughty Dog co-boss Evan Wells on the US PlayStation.Blog.
”Some reviewers have had early access to the game and selected the option to update their Twitter accounts as they completed each chapter of the game. This has resulted in some Twitter feeds being updated multiple times an hour.”
”We obviously want to provide the best experience for everybody, so for the time being we’ve disabled Twitter updates on chapter completions. The option will still exist in the menus when the game ships on 10/13, but if activated, it will do nothing.”
It will be reinstated but after some time has passed launch day, and a limit on the frequency of updates will be imposed. Twitter is the latest social media craze, meaning it’s also the latest way to get on everybody’s nerves - Uncharted 2 has proven this fact.
