Right now though they’ve got their Blizz hands full with five major games under development, such as StarCraft II and Diablo III.
The others in the pipeline from team Blizz are World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, an untitled next-gen MMO and an all-new IP game which has been unofficially confirmed to have used the World of Warcraft engine for test purposes, reports IncGamers.
”Blizzard is currently developing new games, including a new expansion pack to the World of Warcraft franchise , Cataclysm , StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, which will be released with the new and improved Battle.net,” reads the Form 10-K Annual Report.
They also mention sequels ”to the Diablo franchise,” report IncGamers.
Diablo III has been a long demand from fans of Blizzard, and slowly more and more has been revealed by the development team. Frankly it can’t come soon enough with a release in 2011 cast into doubt - ouch.
StarCraft II is currently in closed beta and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm releases later this year, practically rebuilding the original two lands for the stellar MMO. Are you ravenous for some new Diablo?
Surely you can only cleanse the Den of Evil so many times…?
