They ”expect nothing” from the studio on the game at E3 itself though, and believe V will ”significantly outsell” IV, thanks to ”sales acceleration”.
Analyst Hickey said ”there is building suspension for a pre-E3 GTA V announcement, although we expect nothing from Rockstar at this year’s official E3 event,” reports IndustryGamers. Bully 2 is also believed to be in development.
”We think the next iteration of GTA for console can significantly outsell its predecessor, reflecting on the sales acceleration of the prior cycle GTA console iterations, an accelerating core gamer installed base (with an emphasis on PS3 installed expansion where GTA has historically dominated relatively), and the most talented / motivated development team in the world, in our view,” he continued.
Grand Theft Auto V’s script is said to be in the hundreds, or at least that’s what one Houser brother revealed would be the case once they have a setting they like. While a release would seem impossible for this year, it could launch sometime in Q3/4 of 2011.
