Blizz have said before that StarCraft II has been held up because of work on Battle.net, which is ”about to undergo” the change they tease.
”Updating a service like Battle.net is a hugely complex undertaking. Are there really that many new features that Blizzard Entertainment could offer that would deliver a world-class online gaming experience to its community?” posts the Blizzard preview.
”In one word: Yes.” They’ve gone live with a video interview of Battle.net’s project director Greg Canessa, saying, ”Battle.net is being built specifically around Blizzard games.”
”Unlike other online game services, we can do tightly integrated gaming features specific to our games, that other online gaming services can’t pull off,” he adds.
Can the StarCraft II beta be that far behind now?
