According to a post on Reddit, the newly revealed Physical Warfare Pack includes weapons, add-ons and new maps that will initially be exclusive to GAME and Gamestation stores in the UK. However, it seems that this content may be stuff that was removed from the game.
According to the source, ”There’s probably no chance that anyone is going to see this comment but I’ll leave it anyway. I have a very good relationship with a person at DICE, who I don’t want to out, who came to me when the physical warfare pack was announced to get me to look through forums to find negative feedback about the pack that he could give to his superiors at EA. He was pissed that they had announced it without the go ahead of DICE and wanted to show EA the reactions of the community. He said they now have to do similar packs in other country’s in order to keep the balance.”
Publishers stripping content from games to sell as DLC has been one of the biggest fears among the gaming community. This accusation has already been leveled to a lesser degree at L.A. Noire, in which some claim that Rockstar is selling content they couldn’t fit onto the PS3 Blu-Ray and the Xbox 360 DVD-9 discs. However, if true, Electronic Arts is premeditatedly gouging gamers with an incomplete game and charging them to finish it.
We’ll stay on this story and see if there’s an official response from Electronic Arts on the matter.
