For the last four years developer Carbine has been piecing together a new MMO based on an original IP, and NCsoft will announce it August 17th at Gamescom.
That’s the first day of the Cologne, Germany-based videogames event. It will be ”different from the standard” unveiling of a videogame project they promise.
After the new MMO gets its debut this August at Gamescom it will be appearing at PAX Prime in Seattle, Washington. All that NCsoft would spill on the new online IP is that it ”promises to be different from the standard game project announcement”.
NCsoft already has an MMO lined-up for Gamescom - a little thing called Guild Wars 2. It’s a fancy subscription-less MMO sequel from free-to-play champions, ArenaNet. Check out the developer teaser trailer for Guild Wars 2 below.
