Developer Trendy Entertainment has announced that the console versions of Dungeon Defenders won’t be getting the DLC that the PC version has enjoyed in the past few months. According to the company, it would be ”unfeasible from both a technical and business standpoint.”
This was revealed in a forum post by the developer, which stated: ”After much thought and investigation, we’ve decided it’s unfeasible from both a technical and business standpoint to bring the PC-only content (Holiday DLC, New Heroes Pack, Barbarian, Assault Mission Pack, Nightmare Mode, Shops, etc.) to the console versions. This is for a variety of reasons including the massive restructuring of the current console game that would have to take place, the QA process necessary to prepare for submission, patch size limitations, patch stacking requirements, and the opportunity cost of pursuing other projects.”
Console players may feel some frustration, since the DLC characters were hinted at in the game’s Secret Room. However, Trendy will continue the developer’s special game-night events that feature special missions and challenges where players can win unique loot.
