Akira Yuki, the face of Virtua Fighter 5, will be a playable character in Team Ninja’s Dead or Alive 5, and he may not be the last of the series to make an appearance in the game. Studio head Yosuke Hayashi hinted in this week’s Famitsu that more Virtua Fighter characters may be coming to Dead or Alive 5.
In an interview with Famitsu, Hayashi stated that for all the trouble it took to get Sega to approve the use of Akira, he might as well ask for more characters.
It must be noted that Hayashi didn’t name Virtua Fighter or any other particular franchise. Could you imagine Sonic the Hedgehog in Dead or Alive 5?
