The National Geographic Society has announced that Kinect Nat Geo TV, which promises to interact with children through Kinect and its “reach in and explore” functionality, will be available in September 2012.
NatGeo promises that children “will engage, play and learn using their full bodies, gestures and voices,” and ”develop naturalist skills, learn about the environment and get to know wild animals.”
Kinect Nat Geo TV will feature 30-minute TV episode that include visual cues on the screen, which will show viewers that there is an interactive “sidetrack” experience they can engage with. The Kinect experience will allow viewers to turn living rooms into forests and transform kids into animals with “Go WILD” role-play games.
The service was first announced last November by developer Relentless Software.
