Microsoft has decided to extend its $99 Xbox 360 deal to two major North American retail chains, Best Buy and GameStop. The deal had previously only been available at Microsoft Store.
The deal was introduced in May, and featured a 4GB Xbox 360 and Kinect bundle for $99, provided the user signs a two year Xbox Live Gold subscription of $15/mo. The result is that the user ends up spending $460 instead of $420 over the course of two years, for 7.5% interest, similar to deals offered for iPhones and such.
