North American Xbox 360 users will now be able to enjoy HBO On Demand, MLB.tv and Xfinity on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The service is available for Gold level subscribers.
The HBO Go allows gamers to enjoy all of the premium cable services programming, including such shows as Game of Thrones, Entourage, and Deadwood. The Xfinity app allows users to view all of the content from cable service Comcast’s catalog as well.
MLB.TV, which has been available on PlayStation Network for the past two years, allows gamers to view over 2,400 games, as well as a split-screen mode, which allows viewers to watch two games simultaneously.
All three services have a subscription fee on top of the Xbox Live Gold account, though in the case of HBO, subscribers will already have access to it. The other Video on Demand services on Live include Netflix, Hulu Plus, ESPN 3, and Crackle in North America.
UK and European users have their own equivalent services, such as Sky and BBC.
