It’s no secret that Ubisoft want in on the film business to leverage their many IP universes. A new behind-the-scenes video shows what efforts went into making their live action Assassin’s Creed IV trailer.
It’s practically a full blown film operation where it took 50-60 people 3 weeks to build a galleon set. Shooting the mini-movie took 160 people. The ‘making of’ is over 5 minutes long.
Ubisoft are no strangers to producing live action tie-ins for the Assassin’s Creed franchise, having started it with Assassin’s Creed II following Ezio’s father.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag releases on Xbox 360 and PS3 October 29th in the US, November 1st in EU. Xbox One, PS4 and PC in later 2013. An actual Assassin’s Creed film is in production.
