The 1984 and 1991 sci-fi action movies will both feed into the new game, reveals Reef. Interestingly only Terminator 2 is licensed for both consoles and PC.
The Terminator, according to the press release, is only licensed out to Reef for console release. Will this prevent a PC release for ‘Terminators: The Video Game’?
”Here at Reef we are huge fans of 1984 & 1991 Sci-Fi action master-pieces. It’s an incredible opportunity and an equally huge responsibility to create a game that does great justice to the motion-pictures. We are studying all aspects and influences of the Terminator universe defined in Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” said Reef.
”We have started on our journey and are drawing on all the diverse materials available to produce a high quality, authentic and exciting Terminator video game.”
The licensing rights were secured from Studiocanal which controls over 5,000 international film titles. Reef Entertainment is releasing Rambo: The Video Game this winter for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
