If there’s one thing that’s sure to play to the crowd even more than Call of Duty, it’s Call of Duty with added zombies. Because for some reason there’s still people out there not jaded by the walking dead yet.
Exo Zombies is a survival co-op experience coming to Sledgehammer’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare next year, and the studio has released the first teaser trailer showing us what to expect.
Namely that the inspiration here is clearly the fast, “human wave” style zombies of World War Z, rather than the shambling cadvaers we’re used to from CoD’s zombie modes. Interestingly the trailer features ‘Man With Beard #234’ from Advanced Warfare’s solo campaign, suggesting that the new mode will star the main cast. Zombie Kevin Spacey, anyone?
Presumably you’ll also be able to use your Exo suit’s various capabilities. Which is maybe why they went for speedy zombies - not much challenge from the walking dead when you can rocket boost over their decomposing heads, is there?
Chapter One of Exo Zombies will arrive with the Havoc DLC pack next year, though we’re not sure exactly when it’ll drop just yet. It’s safe to assume that each additional DLC pack will contain another chapter, much like Ghosts’ Extinction mode.
