Indie developer Incandescent Imaging has released a demo of Caffeine, the sci-fi horror title about a young boy awakening on a seemingly deserted space station. It has transitioned from Unreal Engine 3 to 4.
It’s a ”graphical showcase” for Epic’s UE4 technology, says the studio, and there’ll be a ”larger play area, more story elements and sounds” adding in the coming weeks.
This new demo features the same area as the previous one that used UE3, and will eventually become an actual gameplay demo as feedback rolls in.
”This is the same area, but I have re-designed it from the ground up in UE4, it may be a bit smaller than the UE3 demo at the moment but I am going to expand it over the next few weeks and update it to make it a full demo as currently it is a little bit of a graphical showcase - no big scares in this one yet,” posted the indie developer.
The current showcase demo for Caffeine is available through IndieDB.
