Instead their teams will be focusing on what really matters; money story DLC. The team is ”currently working hard” on upcoming DLC and will be ‘ignoring’ glitch reports.
There is some shred of humanity left beating at WB Games Montreal, as they do say any progress blocking bugs will be addressed if they commit to another patch.
Things that the studio regard as ”minor glitches” from here-on-out will be ignored. Arkham Origins has suffered some nasty little bugs, including one what would literally trap Batman in a tower as you try to unlock a fast travel point. This was finally addressed in a patch, although an inventive workaround was found.
”The team is currently working hard on the upcoming story DLC and there currently are no plans for releasing another patch to address the issues that have been reported on the forums,” announced The Joker - er, I mean WB Games Montreal. The upcoming story DLC has been teased by a released images.
”You are cordially invited to the Humanitarian of the Year Awards at the Wayne Manor on New Year’s Eve,” teased one of the images, while another was of an award statue encased in ice.
Let’s hope they’ll bother to address the new bugs this fresh story DLC introduces. ”If we do move forward with creating a new patch, it will try to address the progression blocking bugs for players, not the minor glitches that do not prevent one from continuing to play. The issues that are not progression blockers will unfortunately no longer be addressed.”
As you would expect, fans have reacted in anger to the announcement. This is a poor decision indeed if WB Games was serious about making their Montreal studio look like a serious contender in the Batman: Arkham series.
