Ubisoft has announced that Might & Magic Heroes VII, the latest title in the long-running turn-based fantasy series, will be coming to PC in 2015.
It’s being developed by Limbic Entertainment, who also created the generally decent but technically wonky Might and Magic X.: Legacy.
Ubisoft promises that all the classic gameplay elements of the series will return, as well as some new ”innovative features”, but there’s little concrete details on the game so far. There is an official website, but as of this post it’s not working. All we know so far is the basic plot:
”The story of Might & Magic® Heroes® VII depicts the civil war that changed the ruling dynasty of the Holy Empire. The Empress’ murder has left an empty throne, a realm in flames and too many hungry rivals intent on claiming it. The Duke Ivan calls together a prestigious council of six trusted advisors in search of a viable path for putting an end to this war of succession.”
Once the website decides to work again, players will be able to join the Shadow Council, a pre-launch community zone which will allow fans to chat with developers, check out behind the scenes content and even affect the content in the final product; one of the first things members can do is vote for 2 out of the 6 factions that will be in Might & Magic Heroes VII when it launches next year.
