Rollercoaster Tycoon World is coming to the PC in early 2015, bringing all those familiar singleplayer features (building rollercoasters, killing people with poorly built rollercoasters) along with a new co-operative multiplayer mode.
The idea is that as well as building your own theme park, you can also visit other custom parks uploaded by players around the world. You’ll also be able to share rollercoaster blueprints and build huge mega-parks together.
“Many of the new features in RollerCoaster Tycoon World were not possible a few years ago,” says Fred Chesnais, XO of Atari, ”but we have taken advantage of technological improvements to offer a wildly fun gaming experience that stays true to the storied franchise. This is the game fans have beenasking for.”
The teaser video posted over on the official Rollercoaster Tycoon website doesn’t give too much away apart from that 2015 release date, but a tweet from the official Twitter claims that ”RollerCoaster Tycoon World will be a full PC experience and will be “MicroTransaction free”.
More info as soon as we get it.
