Telltale Games has released a new trailer for its highly-anticipated adventure spin-off, Tales From the Borderlands. The studio has also revealed the pricing structure for the game.
The first episode of the five part episodic game series is called Zer0 Sum (meaning we might just see Borderlands 2’s ninja assassin of the same name), and will be available “soon” for $4.99.
That’s the individual price, but you can also buy it as part of the Season Pass on PC and Mac for $24.99 - there’s a sale on Steam currently, which will net you 10% off that price.
Set after the conclusion of Borderlands 2, Tales stars Hyperion executive Rhys (Troy Baker) and con artist Fiona (Laura Bailey), who are looking to put together a big score. “Thrown together as unwilling partners in an adventure to recover cash they both think is theirs,” explains Telltale, “their journey will take you on a wild ride where gangsters, bandit lords, and Vault Hunters are just some of the obstacles you’ll encounter.”
As long as Crawmarax doesn’t turn up we should be fine. A host of faces from the franchise will make an appearance along the way, and you should expect lashings of Borderlands’ trademark wacky humour, and Telltale’s love of tough decisions with no good answers. This is one of two big adventure series that Telltale is kicking off this Winter, with the opening episode of Game of Thrones also due out soon.
